Steal An Egg: getting started
Steal An Egg is a Roblox game by DoBig Studios. The whole game is one loop, and once you understand the loop the rest is just bigger numbers.
Step 1: get an egg
Eggs come from the zones scattered around the map: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple, Angels & Demons and Enchanted Forest, plus event areas like the Halloween Dimension and the Rift. Each zone has its own eggs, its own creatures and its own published drop chances, which the wiki sources from the game files. Our egg database lists all 163 eggs with their zones and odds.
Step 2: grow it, then hatch it
Eggs take time to grow before they hatch: five minutes for an Ankylosaurus Egg, eighteen hours for the biggest event eggs. Grow time is listed on every egg page here. When the timer finishes, the egg hatches into its pet and pays its hatch reward, which is cash and sometimes a speed bonus.
Step 3: pets pay you, every second
Every pet earns income in dollars per second, from a few dollars for a Common up to billions for a Divine like the Spirit World Guardian. That income is the engine of the game: it buys the next zone's eggs, your base upgrades and your treadmill. The pet database ranks all 259 pets by that income (the income index, derived from income), and the income calculator totals what your whole base earns.
Step 4: steal, and do not get stolen from
The name is the mechanic: eggs sitting in other players' bases can be stolen and carried home, and yours can be taken the same way. Speed matters, which is why the treadmill and speed boosts exist: the faster you move, the more you can carry home and the harder you are to rob. Defense is the other half of the game: keep your best eggs protected, spend income on base upgrades, and do not leave a rare egg sitting exposed while you are away. Hatch the good stuff promptly, because a hatched pet earning in your base is safer than an egg waiting to be grabbed.
Step 5: climb the zones
Income from early zones funds the eggs in later ones, and each zone's creatures pay far more than the last. The best eggs ranking shows which eggs pay the most per hatch on the published odds, so you can aim your money where it multiplies fastest.
