Adopt Me pet age calculator
Tell it your pet's rarity and how far through its current stage it is, and this calculator works out the tasks left to Full Grown, the Age-Up Potions that would take, and what the same job costs when you are raising four pets for a Neon or sixteen for a Mega Neon. It uses the current task counts from the September 2025 aging update, the same numbers as our pet aging chart. Most charts elsewhere still print the old ones.
The task chart behind it
A pet grows through five stages on its way to Full Grown: Newborn, Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen and Post-Teen. The work splits evenly across those five stages, with the odd leftover tasks landing in the earliest stages. An Age-Up Potion does 30 tasks at once, and part-used potions still count as spent, so potion numbers always round up.
| Rarity | Newborn | Junior | Pre-Teen | Teen | Post-Teen | Total tasks | Age-Up Potions |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 25 | 1 |
| Uncommon | 8 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 36 | 2 |
| Rare | 11 | 11 | 11 | 11 | 10 | 54 | 2 |
| Ultra-Rare | 22 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 21 | 107 | 4 |
| Legendary | 37 | 37 | 37 | 36 | 36 | 183 | 7 |
Neon and Mega Neon totals
A Neon is four Full Grown pets of the same kind fused at the Neon Cave, so raising a Neon from scratch is four times the single-pet job: 732 tasks for a Legendary. A Mega Neon is sixteen pets, so the raising alone is sixteen times: 2,928 tasks for a Legendary. The four Neons then have to be aged again on the way to Luminous, which is why a finished Mega works out near twenty times the single-pet figure in total effort. Before you commit to fusing, run the pet through our Neon and Mega fuse check: some pets are worth more kept separate.
Two things that make aging faster
The Pet Pen, added in the same September 2025 update, ages pets while you are offline, so a pet sitting in the pen is quietly eating into the numbers above. Age-Up Potions cannot be traded; you earn them from Friendship level ups on pets that are already Full Grown, so a finished pet helps you finish the next one.
Task counts cross checked against the Adopt Me Wiki, November 1, 2026. Potion counts round up. See the full aging chart guide for how the September 2025 update changed the numbers.
