Adopt Me trading glossary
Trading chat moves fast and talks in shorthand. Here is every term you will meet, in plain words.
| WFL | Win, Fair or Lose. The verdict on a trade from your side of it. |
| FR, NFR, MFR | Variant shorthand. F is Fly, R is Ride, N is Neon, M is Mega Neon, combined in order: FR, NFR, MFR and so on. |
| LF / NLF | Looking For, and Not Looking For. What a trader wants, or does not want, in return. |
| Adds | Extra pets or items added to one side of a trade to close a value gap. |
| OP / Overpay | Paying above the listed value, normal when you really want a pet. Ten to twenty percent is the accepted band. |
| UP / Underpay | Offering below value. An extreme underpay is a lowball. |
| HTT | Hard To Trade. A pet with low demand that moves slowly even at a fair price. |
| Demand | How fast a pet trades at its listed value. High demand pets like the Cow, Turtle and Owl act almost like currency. |
| Preppy values | A premium above list value for cute, aesthetic pets, driven by looks rather than rarity. A paper Lose on a preppy pet can be a real Fair. |
| Upgrade / Downgrade | Trading many small pets for one bigger pet, or one big pet for many small ones. |
| Frost / Frosts | The historic value unit: one Frost Dragon's worth of value. |
| Sharks | A smaller unit used by Elvebredd. One Frost Dragon equals 328 Sharks. |
| Ride Potions (unit) | Some lists price everything in Ride-A-Pet Potions instead of Frosts. |
| DP | Dream Pet. The pet a player ultimately wants to end up with. |
| Trust trade | A trade done in two steps on trust. Always a scam. Real trades happen inside one trade window, in one go. |
